The Opportunity
The brand came to 1r with various branches of the business being served within different digital spaces. There was a desire for cohesion that tied the RW Guild, Guild Gallery and La Mercerie restaurant together under the larger Roman & Williams brand to support a strong brand positioning. On the existing websites, there was an opportunity to elevate the design as well as the user experience for their core e-commerce pages. In the back end, product data and inventory management had the potential to be streamlined. Lastly, the brand desired an easy and efficient way for understanding their sales and customer data to fuel vital business decisions for the future.
Visual Enhancements
Leading up to the brand’s 50th anniversary, 1r redesigned and built a new Homepage and About page for the Roman and Williams website. The goal was to establish a strong brand identity as one that crafts artisan pieces for the home, setting them apart from standard furniture stores.
Data-Focused Improvements
With the use of 1r’s custom reporting dashboards and customer cohort analysis, informed data drove key decision making surrounding the customer journey for the RW Guild website. 1r built automated email campaigns tying all of the sub-brands together and implemented an automation strategy for abandoned cart and browse abandonment.
